Cardiovascular Technologist - Interventional Radiology Specialist

The Norman Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in the Cath Lab department. As an integral part of our healthcare team, this role plays a vital role in preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures.

This position requires strong communication skills to collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and care in a sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Equipment Preparation: Prepare and operate equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal functionality.
• Patient Care: Identify and assess patient conditions, prepare patients for procedures, and provide essential care throughout the process.
• Sterile Environment: Establish and maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
• Professional Development: Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, facilitating their orientation and onboarding into our team.
• Ongoing Competencies: Maintain and improve skills by completing all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
• Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS)
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification to be achieved within 6 months of hire
