About the Role
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing and operating medical equipment during cardiovascular procedures while ensuring a sterile environment and high-quality patient care. This role involves identifying patient conditions, assisting cardiologists in various procedures, and mentoring new employees and students.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures
- Identifies and assesses patient condition; prepares, positions, and provides patient care
- Maintains a sterile environment
- Participates in the orientation of new staff
- Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
- Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- BLS certification; ACLS training within 6 months of hire
