Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular program, preparing equipment and providing high-quality patient care in a sterile environment. This professional serves as a preceptor for new hires and students while collaborating closely with cardiologists and leadership to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares and positions patients for treatment, and provides individualized care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Maintains strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Education:
The ideal candidate will have completed a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, hold American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) eligibility or current RCIS certification, and possess previous procedural area experience. Candidates must also obtain Cardiovascular (CV) or CI and/or VI certification, as well as Basic Life Support (BLS) training within six months of hire, and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of employment.
