Job Description
This role involves preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and providing care in a sterile environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, mentor new hires and radiology students, and ensure high-quality patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care
- Maintains a sterile environment
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff
- Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
- Maintains strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Advanced Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire
