What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Technologist Position position at Norman Regional Health System?
We are nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area, with an upcoming move to our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower. This facility will feature three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. Our team consists of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.

- Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation
- American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation
- Preparation and maintenance of a sterile environment during procedures
- Patient assessment and preparation for procedures
- Maintenance of strong relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students
- Participation in the orientation of new staff members
- Utilization of downtime for stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
Education: Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration or current RCIS certification.
Experience: Previous procedural area experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/Etc.: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, registered and/or RCIS certification, Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred, Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care, Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment, ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
