Job Summary:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in our cardiovascular program, preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures. This position requires strong collaboration with cardiologists and involves precepting new staff while upholding professional standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate exceptional patient care.
Qualifications:
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
- Meet all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
Education and Experience:
A graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program is required. One year of experience working in a Cath Lab is preferred.
