Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. We have an innovative cardiovascular program and we are looking for knowledgeable Registered Technologists to expand our cardiovascular team.
Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Technologist will be responsible for preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment for cardiovascular procedures. The role involves collaboration with cardiologists and participation in the training of new staff, ensuring high standards of patient care are upheld.
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications, such as ARRT or RCIS, and complete necessary training in Advanced Life Support within six months of hire. They must also have a strong professional working relationship with the physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- A degree from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within six months of hire.
