The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is responsible for preparing and operating equipment during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing quality patient care. This role requires collaboration with cardiologists and serving as a preceptor for new staff.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Preparation: Prepares equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Patient Care: Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care to meet individual needs.
- Sterile Environment: Establishes and maintains a sterile environment throughout the procedure to prevent contamination and infection.
- Collaboration: Collaborates with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- Experience: One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Certification: Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Training: Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
