Job Summary
This Catheterization Laboratory CV Rad Technologist position at Norman Regional Health System requires a highly skilled professional to prepare and manage cardiovascular equipment during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment for patients. The successful candidate will collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, train new hires, and radiology students while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain cardiovascular equipment before and during procedures.
- Assess patient condition, prepare and position patients for treatment, and provide quality care.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures.
- Serve as preceptor for new staff members and participate in their orientation.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Education
To be considered for this role, applicants must have completed an accredited Radiologic or Cardiovascular program and hold necessary certifications such as ARRT or RCIS. A minimum of one year's experience working in a Cath Lab setting is preferred. Basic Life Support certification is required, and Advanced Life Support must be achieved within six months of hire.
