We are seeking a caring and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist. This role plays a vital part in providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, preparing equipment, and collaborating with cardiologists and electrophysiologists.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must hold relevant certifications and have experience working in a Cath Lab. Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist or RCIS certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required. Basic Life Support training is essential, while Advanced Life Support must be achieved within six months of hire.
