Overview
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and ensuring a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. This role involves collaboration with cardiologists and the orientation of new staff while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
