Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Technologist prepares and manages equipment for cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient care and maintaining a sterile environment. They play a crucial role in training new hires and collaborating with cardiologists to deliver high-quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing and positioning them for treatment.
- Maintains a sterile environment throughout the procedure.
- Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
- Utilizes downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification or current RCIS registration.
- Prior procedural area experience is preferred.
- Registration with the ARRT or RCIS, along with certifications in CV, CI, or VI, are required.
