The Norman Regional Health System is a leading healthcare provider in the region, offering state-of-the-art facilities and services. As a Radiologic Technologist in our Cardiovascular Unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and care during cardiovascular procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning patients for care.
- Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
Professional Practice
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation.
- Use downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
- Develop strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligible and/or current RCIS certification.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Basic Life Support training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; Current Basic Life Support required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
- Advanced Life Support must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
