We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist to join our team, working alongside nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists in our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower. About the Role
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist will be responsible for preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with cardiologists, precept new hires, and ensure high standards of patient care. Proper certification and training in Radiologic Technology, along with a commitment to continuing education and professional development, are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
* Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
* Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
* Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and professional growth.
* Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
* Maintains strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
This position requires:
* Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
* Previous procedural area experience is preferred.
* Certification in Cardiovascular or Interventional Radiography is advantageous.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required prior to providing patient care, and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) must be achieved within 6 months of hire.
