Cath Lab CV Rad Specialist

The Cath Lab CV Rad Specialist at Norman Regional Health System prepares and positions patients for cardiovascular procedures while maintaining a sterile environment. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The specialist serves as a preceptor for new hires and students, ensuring seamless integration into the team.

Responsibilities

This position entails:

• Preparing equipment before and during procedures
• Evaluating patient condition and providing tailored care
• Maintaining a sterile environment throughout procedures
• Providing educational support to new hires and radiology students
• Utilizing downtime efficiently by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing delegated tasks
• Fostering strong working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification
• Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
• Registered and/or RCIS certification
• Basic Life Support training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; Current Basic Life Support required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment; ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment
