Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist Opportunity
Norman Regional Health System seeks a highly skilled Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist to join our team. This individual will prepare and operate equipment for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and providing exceptional patient care.
Overview of the Role:
This position requires the ability to work closely with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, participate in training new staff, and maintain certifications relevant to the role. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Cath Lab environment and be registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
Key Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will:
• Prepare equipment before and during procedures, ensuring it is functioning properly
• Identify and assess patient condition, providing appropriate care and positioning
• Establish and maintain a sterile environment throughout the procedure
• Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
• Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing other delegated tasks
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Qualifications and Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligible and/or current RCIS certification
• Previous procedural area experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training within 6 months of hire
• Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
