About the Role
This position requires expertise in creating and maintaining a sterile environment for cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a procedural area and be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with RCIS certification.
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
- Maintains a sterile environment throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
- Aiding physicians during procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
- Maintaining strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- BLS Certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
