Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Maintains strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
- Previous procedural area experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
- Certification in Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology.
