Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist - RCIS Position Summary:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a critical role in the innovative cardiovascular program, providing high-quality patient care during procedures in a state-of-the-art facility. This position involves preparing equipment, maintaining a sterile environment, and working closely with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintains strong professional working relationship with the physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or registered from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
