The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a vital role in the innovative cardiovascular program, ensuring that equipment is properly prepared and providing excellent patient care. With responsibilities including maintaining a sterile environment and serving as a preceptor for new hires, this position requires a relevant academic background and certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care.
- Maintain a sterile environment to ensure patient safety.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing other delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional relationships with cardiologists and leadership to support high standards of care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or registered Radiographer (R)
- Prior experience working in a Cath Lab setting is preferred but not required.
