The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist - RCIS plays a crucial role in preparing equipment and providing patient care in a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. This position involves collaborating with cardiologists to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system that has emerged as a beacon of workplace excellence. We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are seeking a caring and knowledgeable Registered Technologist to expand our cardiovascular services.
We work with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists. Our cardiovascular program has received several awards, including the American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation and the Women's Choice Award in Heart Care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
