Summary: The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist prepares and maintains equipment for cardiovascular procedures while ensuring a sterile environment. This role requires collaboration with cardiologists, patient care, training new staff, and excellent patient care within a leading community health system.
Overview: Norman Regional Health System is a beacon of workplace excellence, nestled in the Oklahoma City metro area. We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are seeking a Registered Technologist to expand it. Our new Critical Care Tower features state-of-the-art facilities, including three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. We work with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.

Responsibilities:
• Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
• Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care.
• Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
• Professional Practice
• Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and development.
• Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
• Maintains strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
• Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
• Achieve all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
Education:
• Completion of a 24-month formal Radiologic Technology program or military equivalent, with eligibility for and/or current registration as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
Experience:
• Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology registered and/or RCIS certified, with Cardiovascular (CV), Interventional (CI), or Vascular (VI) certification preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required during orientation, with current BLS maintenance required throughout employment. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Key Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
• One year of experience working in a Cath Lab, preferred
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
Compensation:
• $27.84-$45.46/hour based on previous work experience
