The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist prepares and assists with cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment. This role includes training new staff and collaborating with cardiologists to deliver excellent patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist prepares and assists with cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment. This role includes training new staff and collaborating with cardiologists to deliver excellent patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Maintains strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
