The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and care, and maintaining a sterile environment. This role involves collaboration with cardiologists and participation in the training of new staff, while upholding high standards of professional practice in a state-of-the-art facility.
Overview:Norman Regional Health System has emerged as a beacon of workplace excellence. We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are looking for caring knowledgeable Registered Technologists to expand our program. We will soon be moving to our new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower.
We work with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.
Responsibilities:- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
- $27.84-$45.46/hr based on previous work experience
