The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist performs critical roles in cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient care and equipment readiness in a high-paced environment. This position requires certification in Radiologic Technology and proficiency in maintaining sterile conditions while collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Overview:
Norman Regional Health System has emerged as a beacon of workplace excellence. With an innovative cardiovascular program, we are looking for a caring and knowledgeable Registered Technologist to expand our cardiovascular services. We will soon be moving to our new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower, featuring three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Participates in the orientation of new staff and serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
- Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training within 6 months of hire.
Benefits:
