The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist - RCIS position is a vital role in our cardiovascular team, requiring the preparation and operation of equipment during procedures while delivering exceptional patient care. As a collaborative member of our team, you will work closely with cardiologists to maintain a sterile working environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Assess patient condition and provide personalized care.
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure optimal workflow.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Utilize downtime effectively by completing tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
- Prior experience in a procedural area is preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training must be achieved within 6 months of hire.
