The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist prepares and supports procedures in a cutting-edge cardiovascular program while providing exceptional patient care.
Maintaining a sterile environment, performing patient assessments, and collaborating with cardiologists and electrophysiologists are key responsibilities.
Overview of the Position:Norman Regional Health System is committed to delivering exceptional patient care through its innovative cardiovascular program.
The system has emerged as a beacon of workplace excellence and is nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area.
With an upcoming move to a new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower, we will have three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
We work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists.

- Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Echo Accreditation
- American Association Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Accreditation
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Professional Practice:
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
- Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
One year of experience working in a Cath Lab is preferred.
Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
Basic Life Support certification is required, and Advanced Life Support must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Benefits and Compensation:- $27.84-$45.46/hr based on previous work experience.
