The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment, providing patient care, and ensuring a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. Overview:
Norman Regional Health System has emerged as a beacon of workplace excellence. The hospital system has an innovative cardiovascular program and is seeking a caring and knowledgeable Registered Technologist to expand it. The team will soon be moving to a new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower with three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification.
- Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) maintenance through re-training for duration of employment.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
