Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist - RCIS Job Description
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in preparing and assisting during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
- Develop strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS.
- Previous procedural area experience is preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification, Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required for duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
