What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist position at Norman Regional Health System?
As a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist, you will prepare and operate equipment during cardiovascular procedures while providing care for patients in a sterile environment. You will work closely with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, participating in the orientation and training of new staff and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as we move to our new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower, featuring three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
We work collaboratively with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists, striving for exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
- Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months.
- Complete all competencies listed in department policy within six months.
Education:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligible and/or registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Experience:
- Previous procedural area experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/Etc.:
- Registered and/or RCIS certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Candidate should have Basic Life Support (BLS) training prior to starting patient care. Current BLS is required to be maintained throughout employment. ACLS training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
