Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Assess patient condition and prepare them for treatment.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime effectively by completing tasks delegated by the Charge person or manager.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have a background in Radiologic Technology and relevant certifications. Previous procedural area experience is preferred, but not required. You must be registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or hold registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
You will also need to possess Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Life Support certification within six months of hire. A strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership is essential for delivering excellent patient care.
