Job Description:
This position involves preparing and operating imaging equipment for optimal performance, providing expert patient care and positioning during procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and serving as a preceptor and mentor for new staff members and radiology students.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and established protocols.
- Position patients safely and comfortably for optimal imaging results.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict sterile protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve seamless patient care and successful outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab or similar imaging environment preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
