Job Description
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a crucial role in preparing and maintaining equipment, providing patient care, and ensuring a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures.
- Preparation and maintenance of equipment before and during procedures.
- Identification and assessment of patient condition, followed by preparation, positioning, and provision of patient care.
- Establishment and maintenance of a sterile environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
