\Job Summary
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures. This role requires maintaining a sterile environment, working collaboratively with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, and serving as a mentor for new staff and students.
\Responsibilities

- Prepare equipment before and during procedures. \
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare and position them for care. \
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment. \
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff. \
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager. \
- Maintain a strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications

- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS. \
- Previous procedural area experience preferred. \
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration with Registered and/or RCIS. \
- Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred. \
- Basic Life Support training required during orientation prior to providing patient care. \
- Current Basic Life Support required throughout employment. \
- ACLS training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
