Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist Job Description
Norman Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join its state-of-the-art cardiovascular program. As a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist, you will provide crucial support in ensuring patient care and maintaining a sterile environment. Your responsibilities will include preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and serving as a preceptor for new hires. The ideal candidate holds relevant certifications and demonstrates strong teamwork within a cardiology-focused environment.
In this role, you will work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to provide exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for preparing equipment before and during procedures, identifying and assessing patient conditions, and establishing and maintaining a sterile environment. Additionally, you will serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff. The successful candidate will have a Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program, with one year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred. Registration from the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS is also required. In addition, Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
