What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catheterization Lab Radiographer position at Norman Regional Health System?
Responsibilities:
This role involves:
- Preparing equipment before and during procedures
- Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
- Maintaining a sterile environment
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
- Utilizing downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
- Fostering strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications:
Candidates must complete the Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months and all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months. A completed 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS registration is required. Previous procedural area experience is preferred.
BLS training is mandatory during orientation prior to patient care. Current BLS is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
