Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist Job Summary
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in our cardiovascular program by preparing and operating equipment during procedures, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment.
This position involves collaboration with cardiologists and supporting new hires through training while ensuring high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient conditions. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Professional Practice
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Education and Experience
Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
License/Certification/Registration
American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Registered and/or RCIS. Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
Salary and Benefits
- $27.84-$45.46/hr based on previous work experience
