About the Role
This Imaging and Interventional Specialist will play a critical role in preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment for cardiovascular procedures. You will collaborate with cardiologists and serve as a preceptor for new staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support.
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
