The Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled at the southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Rad Technologist to join our team in the Cath Lab.
Job Description
This role involves preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and providing care in a sterile environment while collaborating with cardiologists and other team members. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of patient care, serve as a preceptor for new staff, and ensure the successful operation of the cardiovascular program.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
Qualifications
We are looking for a professional with a strong educational background in Radiologic Technology, relevant certifications, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Experience working in a procedural area is preferred, but not required.
