Responsibilities and Requirements
The following are the key responsibilities and requirements of this role:
- Preparing equipment before and during procedures
- Assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
- Maintaining a sterile environment
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
- Using downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
- Maintaining strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
- Cath Lab RT Orientation completion within 6 months
- All department policy competencies completed within 6 months
- Formal program completion in Radiologic Technology or military equivalent, with ARRT eligibility and/or RCIS certification
- Previous Procedural Area experience desirable
