Job Description
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a vital role in our cardiovascular program by preparing and operating equipment during procedures, ensuring patient care, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position involves collaborating with a team of cardiologists, precepting new staff, and fulfilling certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in orientation of new staff
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
Qualifications
Educational requirements include completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification and/or current RCIS registration
Experience in procedural areas is preferred
