What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catheterization Laboratory Technician Role position at Norman Regional Health System?
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment for procedures, including catheters, guidewires, and imaging equipment.
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the Cath Lab.
Requirements:
A minimum of one year of experience working in a Cath Lab environment is preferred. Certification in Radiologic Technology and cardiovascular procedures is also required. American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registered and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) RCIS certification is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment. Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training must also be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
A bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field is preferred. Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program is required. One year of experience working in a Cath Lab environment is preferred.
