What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catheterization Laboratory Technician position at Norman Regional Health System?
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care. This requires effective communication and teamwork skills.
