About the Role
- This position involves preparing equipment and providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Cath Lab and be certified as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Maintaining a sterile environment, assessing patient conditions, and training new staff are essential responsibilities of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Our Catheterization Laboratory Technologist will:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning them for care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Graduated from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a Cath Lab, preferably with certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Holds current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must achieve Advanced Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire.
