Job Summary
This registered dietitian will play a vital role in providing specialized nutritional assessments and ongoing care for patients in our acute care setting. They will educate patients and staff about nutrition and ensure compliance with state licensure requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN).
- Basic knowledge of subspecialty area (including nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology, etc.).
Experience:
- Knowledge for use of different formula's when assessing patient's nutritional needs.
- Completion of general and patient care orientation is required prior to providing patient care.
Licensure/Certification:
- Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State license.
- Must achieve registration within the first 6 months of eligibility or hire date.
