As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Norman Regional Health System, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and test all equipment before each case to maintain optimal performance and minimize procedure downtime.
- Assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide individualized care according to established protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures, adhering to strict guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
- Participate in training and orientation of new hires and radiology students, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic or Cardiovascular Program.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registered with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support certification required; Advanced Life Support certification must be achieved within 6 months of hire.
