About the Role
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in our cardiovascular program, working closely with cardiologists to deliver high-quality patient care. This role involves preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications
This role requires:
- A completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists eligible and/or current RCIS credentials.
- Previous procedural area experience preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered and/or RCIS, with Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
- BLS training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
