As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care by preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Collaboration with cardiologists and electrophysiologists is key to success in this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures to ensure seamless execution.
- Assess patient conditions, prepare patients for imaging procedures, position them correctly, and provide exceptional care throughout the process.
- Maintain a sterile environment at all times to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Practice professional behavior at all times, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, sharing your expertise and knowledge to help them succeed.
- Utilize downtime efficiently, completing tasks such as stocking rooms and checking equipment to maintain optimal functionality.
- Foster strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months of hire.
- Achieve completion of all competencies listed in department policy within six months.
- Hold American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility or current RCIS certification.
Education and Experience
- Possess a 24-month formal program or military program diploma in Radiologic Technology.
- Previous Procedural Area experience is highly desirable.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Hold American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification.
- Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification is preferred.
- Basic Life Support training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
