Job Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning patients for diagnostic imaging.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in orientation and ensuring smooth onboarding.
- Use downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate exceptional patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of a 24-month formal program in Radiologic Technology or a military program with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- BLS training required within the first 6 months of hire; ACLS certification must be achieved within 6 months and maintained throughout employment.
