- Job Summary
- Prepare and maintain equipment for cardiovascular procedures
- Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate care
- Maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to ensure seamless patient care
- Precept new staff and students on departmental policies and procedures
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in orientation of new staff
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
- Maintain strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Education and Qualifications:
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility
- Current certification as Registered Technologist (RT) or Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; Current BLS required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
